AREA FORUM/WARD GRANTS
Matter for Consideration:
To consider applications under the Area Forum/Ward Grants Schemes.
Information:
The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £20,000 to each Ward and the Area Forums have been awarded budgets equivalent to £7,500 per ward covered for the financial year 2013/2014. The funding for either scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

Councillor Mrs Haynes of Hawes Side Ward has requested £4,860 for the purchase and installation of an alley gate, panels and palisade fence at Hawes Side Lane, to include £275 estimated advertising costs (this scheme was also supported by the late Councillor Hardy).

Councillors D Coleman and Elmes of Marton Ward have requested £495 for the purchase and installation of 2 sign plates and 2 posts for Preston Old Road to discourage good vehicles from using a particular road in Marton Ward.

Councillors Mrs Callow and P Callow of Norbreck Ward have requested £6,000 as a contribution to Norbreck Primary Academy towards the purchase and installation of Astro Turf for a small section of the school field for school use all year round.
